The Court further notes that it has found a violation of Article 3 of the Convention on account of the first and the third applicants’ ill-treatment by police during the public assembly (see paragraph 34 above). It also observes that the domestic courts established that the police had exceeded their powers during the operation on 15 April 2007 (see paragraph 23 above). The Court, therefore, considers that the intervention by the police and the ill-treatment constituted an interference with the applicants’ right KAZANTSEV AND OTHERS v.
