An aspect of the incident which is crucial for the Court’s examination has already been established by the national authorities; on the basis of the video footage of the demonstration, the domestic courts have already established that the gathering had been a peaceful one and that neither the applicants nor any other student had resorted to any acts of violence in the course of the demonstration (see paragraph 21 above).
